DDC Coordinators can create referrals for vendors associated with a client’s case. The types of service providers include a legal team (Petitioning Attorney, Guardian Ad Litem, and Court Visitor) and Professional Guardian. When a provider receives a referral they will be able to view client information and shared documents in order to determine if they will accept the referral or not. If a provider accepts a referral they will have a set of services they can bill for. The DDC coordinator will close a referral after a provider has completed their role in a case. For example after a judge makes a ruling on a court case then the legal team is no longer actively working the DDC case. For professional guardians their referral will stay open for years, maybe decades, allowing them to bill for services as needed.
